Liquid cultures are a step above spore syringes. Syringes are filled with live mushroom mycelium in a nutritious liquid like sugar water.

They contain the next life cycle of the fungi after germination and provide the perfect environment for the organism to flourish. Our proprietary blend of sugars and fermented grain proteins provides the ideal setting for mushroom spores to germinate and turning into liquid mycelium (the first stage of mushroom growth).

Inject 3-5cc’s of your favorite spores into the jar, incubate at 76-82 degrees for 4-5 days, and a white cloud of mycelium will start to form. Insert the sizeable 50cc syringe back into the jar and fill it up.

Now, you are ready to inoculate many substrate jars or spawn bags! Once the pot is full of mycelium, it can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 months and used as needed! Liquid cultures should be used within 2-3 weeks of receiving and stored in the refrigerator before use. Please open and check this product when you receive it to ensure no shipping damage or leakage.
